Spencer Baldwin, II
Mr. Baldwin serves as Superintendent at Peletah Academic Center for Excellence. He holds the A.S. in Business Administration, from Pamlico Community College, B.S. in Business Management and Organizational Development from the University of Mount Olive and the Master of Education from Elizabeth City State University. Principal Baldwin has more than a decade of educational experience and oversees the virtual campus for P.A.C.E. as well. Principal Baldwin oversees a faculty and staff with more than 150 years of educational experience.

P.A.C.E. Setting in Programs
Peletah Academic Center for Excellence is one of a handful of private schools in the state of North Carolina that has its Exceptional Children Program Approval through the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction. P.A.C.E. is a culturally competent trauma informed PK-12 school. P.A.C.E. has completed training and is a Grief-Sensitive School.

P.A.C.E. was also featured as a partner in the 2020 N.C. State Health Improvement Plan that was prepared by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Public Health by the State Center for Health Statistics (NC DHHS/DPH). P.A.C.E. was recognized for our work in the area of third grade reading proficiency.

P.A.C.E. Setting in Scholar Resiliency ​
School Social Worker Mrs. Malika Baldwin and Dr. Dawn Gibson created the Bounce Back Zone to provide a safe space for youth impacted by COVID-19 to unwind and have fun while helping develop resilience through art, games, music and more. P.A.C.E. welcomed UNC TV NC to our school to discuss the positive impact the Bounce Back Zone has had on our scholars.
